C25K Finished! / Weigh-in Wednesday

Today I graduated from C25K. It feels good to see that all of my hard work and dedication is paying off, and C25K is done! For those of you reading this, If my big behind (I wanted to say A$$) can do it then YOU CAN DO IT! I feel like I should have a Nike endorsement, because everyone I talk to that wants to start running I tell them to “just do it!” I tell them that because people think that they don’t have the physical capability to run, I believe that physical capability is not the determining factor for running, mental capability is. See that mental capability can take you to places that you wouldn’t believe you could go and farther. Because the only limit your mind has is the one you put on it. AND THAT’S REAL TALK!!

300 Pounds and running 5k 1

I have about nine days left until my first 5K and I’m feeling good about it. I feel like this 5K is going to be a piece of cake and yall know how much I love cake! Speaking of cake how should I celebrate running my first 5K? Usually we would go out to eat for a celebration so what should I do now? Should I still go out to eat? The thought of it sounds funny; we tell the waiter that we are celebrating. They ask what are you celebrating? I say I just ran a 5K…lol Does anybody else see the irony in that? Anyways I have 2 other 5K’s that I’m running; my second 5K will be at Fitbloggin’12 and my third will be at Central Michigan University’s Home Coming, my alma mater. After the 5K at Central Michigan University I will start training for a 10K. I found this app called 5k to 10K it’s a 9 week program and it seems pretty cool, I will give it a try and let you all know what I think about the program. I would love to run a 10K by December, I think the hardest part is finding one, but who knows there might be tons of 10K’s in Connecticut in December. We will have to wait and see.

Now to Weigh-in Wednesday!

So this week I gain .1lb …seriously .1lb does that even count? I don’t know what to say nor feel about it. Should I feel good that I didn’t gain a whole pound or should I be upset that I didn’t lose any weight this week? Keep it positive Martinus … I’m just glad I pretty much stay the same weight. I rather stay the same weight than gain weight. You win some, you lose some… I’m not going to let .1lb hold me down. I’ll do better next week.
