This past weekend my home girl Kelly from curvyfitgirl.com came up from NYC and did a Fitbloggin Massachusetts Tour. I believe she visited Dani, Sarah, Colleen, and myself. I thought it was awesome that she drove up to visit her tweeps. (Side note: She also mentioned that she drove from NYC but there are so many peeps in MA that we should think about doing something every once in a while… I agree, I will get in touch with my MA folks this summer and have a meet and tweet or something. So stay tuned!)
For those of you who have not met Kelly in real life, she’s a freaking riot. She is definitely a New York girl at heart and that is what makes her amazing.
For example:
Kelly: So when are we going to hear about Martinus losing 10, 20, or 50 pounds again.
Me: Weight loss is a bitch and I mean that in the nicest way possible. Kelly: I understand I have to get my head out of my ass every now and again…
Me: :-/ Okay… lol
Kelly: Dude, you need to post more and get that shit off your chest… I know you in pain but you have to let the world know how you are doing…
I love talking to Kelly I know that everything comes from her mouth is unfiltered but it also comes from the heart. Talking to Kelly made me put somethings into perspective and I am going to pull the trigger on some of the things we talked about…I’m not going to tell you, I’m just going to show you…

This week we will be starting week 6 of couch to 5K. This is where things get very interesting. The intervals have went from 5 minutes to 8 minutes and now we are at 10-minute intervals. In a couple of weeks, we will be at 30-minute intervals. I am excited to get the ball rolling and I’m excited that I have my favorite lady running next to me for support. Even though we do a lot of bickering while running, I must say it would not be the same without her.
As far as the injury is concerned, I am still in pain and experiencing tightness in my neck and upper back. I think I have done 40 session of PT with no resolve. Therefore, I am thinking my next bet would probably be an orthopedic specialist. I am trying my best to stay positive about the situation, must of the time I do not bring it up to people because it’s really a conversation and mood killer. But what are you going to do about it. I try my best to keep my head up about the situation; eventually I will have a breakthrough…
Until then I will keep defying the odds… I will talk y’all in a bit.
