Today’s Blogging Challenge Topic is: How do you measure your fitness progress?

I measure my fitness progress by miles ran and pounds lost. My main goal is to become a marathon runner, so I have to run long distances. I may not know much about running; however I do know that you have to run 26.2 miles to complete a marathon.  I never heard of anyone completing a marathon by running 3 miles a days; you got to put your feet to the pavement and run far. Every week I try to increase my mileage by .25-.50 miles a week. I started off running zero miles a day to running five miles a day, four –five days a week.  I use pounds lost is a matter of keeping my nutrition in check. It’s a very simple formula; I eat right I lost weight; I don’t eat right I don’t lose weight.

Now it’s you turn how you measure your fitness progress?
