On The Train Again/ Blog Challenge Day 3

Welcome back to 300 Pounds and Running,

Well I’m on the train again traveling back to Connecticut from Washington DC. I have about 4 more hours ahead of me and I’m getting cabin fever. There’s a baby that has been crying for the past three and half hours, the train is sold out so I can’t move to another car. I thought moving vehicles are suppose to soothe babies. I’m have a headache thinking about it so I thought this would be a good time to blog to ease my nerves.

This is day 3 of the SEPTEMBER HEALTHY LIVING / FITNESS BLOGGER WRITING CHALLENGE. Today’s topic is: Do you take any vitamins or supplements? If so, which ones and why?

I just started taking supplements, I wouldn’t be taking them now if it wasn’t for a friend giving me the iChoice 30-day Health and Weight Management Program. The program consist of:

iChoice Reach- A Bi-Layered High Potency Multi-Vitamn

iChoice Block- A Natural Fat and Carb Inhibitor Powered Drink. It’s like one of those crystal packets.

iChoice Commit- High Fiber/ High Protein Shake

I’ve always felt like I should be taking supplements but with all the brands out there, its hard to find one that suits my needs with out being scammed. I start doing the iChoice Program because a trusted friend recommended it and bought it for me. I’ve been taking it for about a week and it’s been going well. I use mainly the vitamins and the meal replacement for the long days at school. The meal replacement keeps me full for about 3-4 hours and I’ve notice a change in my energy since I started. I wil do a review once I complete the program.

Now it’s your turn; Do you take any vitamins or supplements? If so, which ones and why?

My thoughts and feelings about Lance Armstrong’s lifetime ban and loss of titles.

Hello 300 Pounds and Runnng Readers,

This is day two of Septemeber Blog Writing Chalenge and today’s topic is: Share your thoughts and feelings about Lance Armstrong’s lifetime ban and loss of titles.

I feel like its not going to hurt him at all, I think it’s too late in the game to strip him of everything because people associate Lance Armstrong to those titles like bees are associated to honey. I don’t know if he did or didn’t “cheat”, I feel like in professional sports athletes “cheat” in some form, shape or fashion. From taking different substances/ supplement to using machines that speeds up their recovery time. The thing about elite athletes is that stuff only helps them a little, if any because they are the ones training every second of there lives to be the best at thier sport. I see if he took something that turned him into the bike Incredible Hulk, yes now we have a problem. But he is already a tremendous athlete does it make that much of a difference?

A part of me wants to say, “who cares isn’t sports for entertainment purposes anyway?” Then why does it matter if it’s for entertainment? What about the charity and awareness that he has done for cancer? Shouldn’t that matter the most anyway?

Now it’s your turn; what are you feeling on Lance Armstrong’s lifetime ban and loss of titles?

Long Weekend/ Blog Challenge Day 1

Hello 300 Pounds and Running Readers,

As I  write this I am on a train headed to Washington DC for a long weekend with my favorite girl. I joined a 30 day blogging challenge with Fitness Cheerleader and I didn’t bring my laptop so this is my first attempt blogging on my iPad. Since the first day is today I’m going to try to keep my end of the bargain. I don’t want to flake out on the first day of challenge. If you want t know more about the challenge check out Fitness Cheerleader’s blog.  The topic for today is: Describe your pre and post workout routine.
Since I’m usually up at the crack of dawn, my pre-workout routine consists of me getting out the bed brushing my teeth. Looking for workout clothes in the dark (I don’t know why I do not lay them out the night before) as I try to make as much noise to wake up my girlfriend (j/k). Then I kiss her on the forehead, take my multivitamin, go outside and start some dynamic stretching before I start my run.

My post workout routine starts with me coming in the house drenched in sweat. I take off my shoes at the door and begin stretching in the living room while listening to the Steve Harvey Radio Show. Afterwards I drink a tall glass of milk and hop in the shower. If I’m lucky my girlfriend is woke when I get out the shower and she makes me breakfast while I get dress. Then I ask her if she took her vitamins. 9 times out of 10 she says yes, even though she hasn’t so I have to force feed them to her (she hates taking vitamins). Then we talk about the agenda for the day before I leave for school. That’s pretty much my routine, I wish it was interesting but that will have to do. Have a good holiday weekend!

Until next time I’m 300 Pounds and Running!
